Our staff and therapy team made a trip to the Lianjiang, Guangdong orphanage for the first time in the summer of 2019. Our Director of Operations, Lily Zhuang, made the long trek across the country and one of our Bright Star Therapy team members, Annie Sun. They met with the orphanage staff and their onsite therapists to assess the children’s needs for therapy and the orphanage staff’s need for therapy training. Lily and Annie provided on-the-spot training and education to the caregivers to promote more awareness and knowledge in physical and cognitive developmental assessments, feeding, and more. We are happy to have expanded our outreach to children living more than a thousand miles away in south China. It’s exciting to see our work’s further expansion and development to reach out to those kids in faraway places like Lianjiang.
We look forward to working with the Lianjiang orphanage team to provide therapy services, support, and training to improve special kids’ lives.
